Well, we probably all expected it when the manga finally finished. But there will be a new Inuyasha anime made to animate the end of the series.

So assuming they don't go off on filler, should be about 104 episodes me thinks.

I guess they got annoyed that Naruto has surpassed them in anime episodes, and is slowly encroaching on the manga length as well  lol

Wow, I ment to actually read the manga from where I left off, but I just never got around to it.
I lost interest big time.

I am actually pretty surprised to hear they are making another anime.
I thought they were making some movies about the ending?

Nope, they decided on anime, because it will run longer then a few movies. Though be certain there will likely be some movies made, always nice for more income.

Honestly? I bet most people will, even a lot of those "zomg! Inuyasha went on too long, good riddance!" because they'll watch it to see what its like, and then just keep watching it.

I would wager some 70-90% of those who watched the original, will watch this one. The few that don't, will either be because they've moved on from anime, lost interest in the genre, or lost interest in the series, with the first two being the primary reasons for not watching it.
